Ye Olde Boat

The no-nonsense nautical kitchen, inadvertently voltpunk'd with bolts, Thermos vacuum bottles, and leftover planking.


The historic Makerbot, lovingly finished with a light olive-oil rub. If this ain't steampunk technology, I don't know what is!

Another Winter Storm?


After six (6) winter storms in a row we're longing for the days of the previous post.

Fortunately one of our neighbours that is in a more sheltered location is gone for Thanksgiving and we are able to escape the worst of it to keep their cat company while they are away.

Another Beautiful Day on the Water in Seattle

Mermaid Sun canopy is up. Slow (overnight) Cold Brewed Iced Coffee on Deck. I see no reason to go far from the boat. maybe a row later this afternoon.

Who is Tank Girl?

She's a 24" American 1970's fiberglass sailboat - only not.
Transformed beyond all recognizability, this craft is inspired by tough offshore fishing vessels, Asian "junk" ships, and Jules Verne, with a nod to pirates, NW native tribes, and Depression-era houseboats.
